Jordy Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Clayton, NC

Jordy is a sweet Australian Cattle Dog mix, around 2 years old and just over 50lbs. He’s got beautiful coloring and kind, gentle eyes.

Jordy came to the rescue rather insecure. Now past 3 months in foster care, Jordy has shown great improvement. He looks to his humans and other dogs for guidance. He will need a patient owner who will take him little by little out of his comfort zone and nurture his confidence.

Jordy is a medium energy dog who is content with a few walks each day. He is great on leash and enjoys playing other dogs once he knows they are non-threatening. He especially likes female dogs and would enjoy having a "sister" in his home. He would prefer a home with adults, as small children are likely to be too stimulating and unpredictable for him.

Jordy may never be comfortable enough to be the happy-go-lucky type of dog, but will continue to improve with proper leadership. He is lovable with people he’s comfortable with and will make a great companion for the right person or family.

Jordy is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Our $300 adoption fee helps to cover some of these expenses.
