Jonah: Fly ball anyone? Labrador Retriever & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Framingham, MA

Hi! My name is Jonah. I am a medium sized guy who needs some good meals to add a little more bulk to my 49 lb frame. I am about one year old and have loads of puppy energy. In addition, I am wicked handsome and loooove people. When I ride in the car I like to rest my head on your shoulder. If you let me ride shotgun, I will be only too happy to oblige. An active family who enjoy hiking or jogging would be right up my alley. My foster mom also thinks I would be great at organized activities like dog agility, or fly ball. I can reach some impressive heights when jumping for a frisbee! When I run I am fast like greased lightning -- though I am more of a sprinter than a marathoner. I enjoy a good game of tug, fetch, or Frisbee and love chew toys.

I know some basic commands like sit, paw, come, down, but will need more training. Luckily food = fun to learn! I'm still learning not to jump up on people, and my foster mom says I am making great progress! Since I'm still so young I'm working on walking nicely on a leash. I sometimes like to try and start a game of tug with my leash, it's so fun. Playful, that's me!

Because I am exuberant, I would not be a good fit for a home with small kids. I would never intentionally hurt anyone but I am strong and don't know my own strength. Active as I am, I can still be a cuddle bug. I like other dogs, and would enjoy a home where there's a canine pal who is as playful as I am. Fun-loving describes me pawfectly.

I am good in a crate if you can lure me in there (food works). I may do a little singing at first ( Pavarotti, look out) but then I quiet down and can stay there all night. Negative for heartworm and Lyme disease, up to date on my vaccinations and microchipped, I am ready to find my forever family. Could you be the one?
