My name is Joker, I am a 3 year old hound mix.. I am usually a pretty serious boy but I have a silly side once I know you will appreciate it. I was living in a pretty bad place.. I wasn't treated very well and I wasn't fed very often, so I am still not so sure that I know what love is yet BUT I sure am liking the attention I get here at the humane society. I am a gentle soul who has just had a rough start to life. I am ready to experience the finer thing's in life like love, companionship, a routine meal and a person to call my very own. I am just learning what the outside world is all about and have been doing a great job at keeping my kennel area clean so my potty training is going perfectly, SO I AM BEING TOLD! I have seen quite a few neighbors come and go through here and I am really yearning for someone to come save me and give a good life, the person that does is going to get soooooo spoiled with all my kisses!! I know I am ready for my new beginning so if you think you have what it takes to show me a new way of living, watcha waiting for, go fill out an application to come meet me!

Once you submit an application online, it will be reviewed and our adoption coordinator will be in contact with you. This may take a couple days, especially with puppies, we tend to get more applications on puppies to sort through, so please be patient. Successful adoptions and placement of our animals is taken very seriously here at CCHS so, not every application will be approved.. We must make certain that each animal is placed in a home that best suits the needs of the animal and the needs of the family and home where the animal is being placed. As always, if you have another dog in the home, we do REQUIRE a meet and greet prior to final decisions being made by all parties involved. This has proven to be best for the animal and the potential adopters in attempts to prevent issues once getting your new pet into their fur-ever homes, as much as we love each and every one of them, we don’t want them to get returned.

Our animals come up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed/neutered, however, we always recommend taking any new pet to your primary veterinarian for a well check to get them established for routine care.
