Meet Joey: adoption pending!
Joey is being fostered in WI, BDRA will assist with transport within reasonable distance.
what we know about Joey:
*sweet
*born blind, well adjusted
*Loves people
What Joey's foster mom has to say about Joey:
5 year old miniature poodle who was born with no eyes. His blindness is not a handicap for him other than he will bark when he hears a noise that worries him. He is mellow and as sweet as they come. He would love a quiet home with someone to give him lots of love. He is very devoted to his person and loves to sit next to, sleep next to that person. Joseph loves his crate, rides well in a car, and is mostly house-trained. His owner of 4 years had to move to a new state and into an apartment. She loves him and it breaks her heart to have to re-home him but she knows that an apartment isn't a quiet place for a boy that really needs peace and quiet. I have fallen in love with him as well, but have so many of my own, with many visiting dogs, that it wouldn't be fair to Joseph for me to keep him. He loves other dogs, but will bark if they bark. He may need to wear a belly band for the first week or two in a new home, as he is housebroken, but new environments are somewhat stressful for him.
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
