Meet Joey
Joey is currently fostered in Brooklyn, NY! He is available for out of state/out of area adoption to the perfect forever home! Transportation to his new family can be coordinated by our rescue.

Introducing Joey!
Joey is a lovable and social 5-month-old Shepherd/Lab mix who’s ready to find his forever home! Currently in foster care, he has shown just how adaptable and sweet he is, thriving in the different environments he’s been in since arriving from Texas. Joey has been a model puppy and is house-trained, having not had a single accident in his foster home!
Joey is an energetic and intelligent pup, just like his Shepherd roots suggest! He’s been working on his leash training in the city and is doing great, but we know that he’d thrive in a suburban home with a fenced-in backyard where he can run, play, and burn off some of that puppy energy. Joey loves to stay active and would love to have a “job,” whether it's fetching, learning new tricks, or being your outdoor adventure buddy.
Speaking of tricks, Joey is super smart and learns quickly! He already knows how to sit and give a paw, and he’s working on mastering more. He is crate-trained and sleeps soundly in his crate at night. Joey has a playful and social side too, and he enjoys the company of other dogs. In fact, he would do best in a home with another canine companion to keep him company. He absolutely loves to sprint around the dog park, playing tag with his fellow pups, and he’s sure to bring tons of joy to any household.
While Joey has not yet been tested with cats, he is incredibly friendly and would likely adjust well in a household with the right feline friend, given his calm temperament.
Joey’s ideal home would have:
- A fenced-in backyard for playtime and exercise
- Another dog for companionship (he thrives with other dogs)
- An active family or individual who can keep up with his energy
- A home that loves to adventure and train him to be the best boy he can be
