Joey Labrador Retriever & Hound Mix Port Washington, NY

Joey came up from Georgia through The Shelter Connection's rescue program. He came from a home that let the breeding on the property get out of control. Luckily, he is very social and friendly, but came knowing no commands or how to walk on a leash. He has made some great progress in a short amount of time! He is an energetic, smart guy that is looking for an active family dedicated to continuing his training. He gets along with other dogs and would need a canine friend that matches his play level. Joey has a prey drive for small animals so he is not recommended to live with cats or other small pets in the house. Due to his exuberance, we are recommending a home with children 10+.
