Joey German Shepherd Dog Broomfield, CO

Joey is a 3 yr old boy who lived outside with a female companion. They were both taken away from their owner, due to neglect when Texas was hit with a cold freeze. Joey is a gentle sweet friendly guy who loves everyone he meets. We are looking for an active home so he can be out enjoying life, seeing new places and doing new things. Joey is learning all the basics and training is easy since he is highly food motivated. Joey is now housetrained, rides good in the car and is learning how to walk nice on a leash. Since this guy likes everything we think he would be ok in a home with children if they are taller than him as he can be a bit pushy. He does seem to have a prey drive so no kitties. Joey does have a mild case of anxiety and would do best in a home with a person who is there most the time, however he is kennel trained when you need to leave. We think this will pass once he knows he will never be abandoned again. He is good with other dogs, but can be a little picky on who he plays with. Joey is super sweet and would make a great family member.
