Meet Joe
Meet our sweet Joe.
He is such a sweet boy who is looking for a special family for his special needs.
A word from his foster:
Joe was found caught in a coyote trap. When he was neutered the vet realized something wasn’t right with his bleeding and he ended up at the ER vet. It was determined after some testing that he is a hemophiliac. He has hemophilia A factor VIII (this does not require any medication, just monitoring to be sure he does not have any injury or cuts). He will need a life of leisure to prevent bleeding. If he gets cut and starts bleeding this can turn into an emergency situation. He is super chill thank goodness! He loves to snuggle with you in the chair or the bed. He walks well on the leash. Would do great with a fenced back yard he could wander around. He loves to lay in the sun. He isnt interested in toys much. He is house broke but HATES crates. He has destroyed 2 so far. He is on anxiety medicine to help with separation anxiety. He rides great in the car. So far he’s good with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He is 1-2 years old. The vet wants to speak with the potential adopters vet to make sure they are prepared for a dog with hemophilia and the adopter understands his needs as well. He is such a good, sweet boy you just needs a special family.
Good thing he so chill about life. Likes kids, other dogs, snuggling and curling up to sleep in a ball. Not good with cats, rabbits.
Joe deserves a family of his own and we hope to find him those perfect people soon.
