Meet Jobu
Jobu is a handsome, solid, gentle giant. He and his sister Jonesey were surrendered to us by owners who had taken good care of them, but could no longer keep them. We have had them sterilized and had them heartworm tested, they were negative, and given them their vaccinations. They are ready to go to loving forever homes. We were puzzled by the name Jobu but the owner told us that it comes from a little character in the baseball movie Major League. On at least three occasions we have witnessed another male dog come up and nip at Jobu. Being the good boy that he is, he has not responded at all, and rather come around and hid behind us to avoid conflict. He will protect a toy ball, but for the most part, he is a gentle soul that avoids conflict when he can. This is a very nice dog who is going to make a wonderful family companion.
