Jimy Shih Tzu Mix New York, NY

Jimy is a 9-year-old, 13-pound male shih tzu mix from Tijuana. He is a happy-go-lucky pup and often wants to be right next to his human. As a super snuggler, his daily desires consist of belly rubs, cuddles, and the occasional treat. He is most interested in the company of his human vs toys. He can be his foster mom's tail, especially when there's cooking or food prep involved.

Jimy's left eye may have limited vision, even so, apartment living seems to come at ease. He will relieve himself outside and walks well on a leash. He will happily endure any short distance walk, alongside his human, at senior speed.
Jimy's daily meals are, "Farmer's Dog turkey and chicken." He has a healthy appetite and is very much food motivated. His foster parents have been hard at work with crate training. Though not entirely accustomed to the crate, he will sometimes venture in. During bedtime, he will rest in his dog bed beside his foster parent's bed.
Although not a necessity, Jimy may do well with another calm resident dog. There is currently no testing or history with cats. All in all, this chill senior will make the perfect addition to any family!

Vaccinated for rabies, DA2PP, lepto, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Jimy tested positive for erlichia and is being treated with 30 days of doxycycline. Heartworm prevention due 4/11. Flea and tick prevention due 5/24 (Bravecto).
