Meet Jill!

Jill was found abandoned in rural NC and is eager to find her forever family. A sweet and affectionate girl, she is full grown at about 30lbs. The perfect travel size!

Jill can be a little timid in new situations, but warms up quickly. She wants nothing more than to be with her person and loves to give kisses! She sometimes gives little grooming nibbles, which is very sweet but can be too much nibble when she's excited. Jill is making good progress on learning to control herself in this area.

She knows a few basic commands and walks well on a leash. She is also working on not jumping up when she's excited and is easily redirected into a sit. Jill will benefit from someone who can help her continue to work on her manners and gain confidence as she navigates new experiences. Everything about living inside is new to her, she has been especially interested in the sounds that come from the TV! She loves treats and is learning about toys.

Jill is crate trained and hasn't had any accidents in her foster home. A regular potty schedule in her new home will help ensure she becomes fully housebroken. She plays well with her brother, Jack, and is not reactive to other dogs through fences/gates, but will likely need thoughtful introductions to other dogs due to her current timidness. She has not been tested with cats or small children. Jill is estimated to be about 15 months old and is fully vetted.
