Meet Jetta Rose

Jetta Rose's Journey
For a young pup Jetta Rose has already been through so much in life. This SWEET 2 year old Daschund/Papillon mix was found in the middle of an intersection. Her back legs were paralyzed probably due to being hit by a car at an earlier incident. When she first arrived at our rescue she need a cart and lots of care. She had many diagnostic tests including a CT scan and a MRI and four neurologist agree she does not need surgery. She has a slight bulge in one of her discs that was probably from a trauma like a car accident. After four months of dedication to her physical therapy Jetta's miracle happened and she started to walk again. Although she will never have a normal gate she jets around and that's how she got her name.
Jetta Rose has a very sweet and loving personality and is VERY eager to bond with a person. She looks into your eyes so soulfully and it just melts your heart. She has a lot of love to give. She's full of spunk and fun. She does get along with other dogs but her focus is people. If she were to live in a home with dogs we would like to match her with a small calm dog that wouldn't jump on her. She is reactive to cats but like with all animals she meets she can be a little bossy at first but then she settles down.
She will do best in a home where someone is around a lot as she does have some separation anxiety from all the trauma in her life. We think if she has ample time to settle in she will improve on that front. A home without a lot of stairs would be best as we don't want her to re injure herself. She does require daily exercises and walking to keep her physically fit, mobile and continue to improve. Although she's not on any medication currently she does need Glucosomine for joint support and health.
We hope the next part of Jetta's life is filled with joy and stability. She's on the Rescue Train with a one way ticket to love.
