Jerry-Adopted! Terrier Mix Detroit, MI

Jerry was surrendered to our director after she saw him being pulled down the street by a guy on a bicycle. It was a very hot day and the dog looked like he was going to collapse. She pulled over to talk to him and he said the dog didn't belong to him and was hanging around his house. She asked him if he wanted to surrender him and he said yes. We are so happy that he will now have the chance to find a new loving family to love and properly take care of him. Jerry is a happy-go lucky, friendly dog who loves to play with toys and run around the yard. He gets along well with other dogs, but can be guarded around his toys. He becomes very attached to his people. He loves to go for walks just as much as he likes to snuggle on the couch. He’s a very smart dog who would excel with some training. He’s a sweet, loving boy who just wants to be with you. At first he can be a little on the timid side with strangers but will warm up quickly once he feels comfortable and is very loving. Jerry has done well around other dogs but we do not know about cats. No young children because of his timid nature he can get scared with a lot of commotion but older kids should be fine. Jerry weighs about 30 pounds. Est birth date 1/23/18
