Meet Jensen
It is our pleasure to introduce you all to Mr. Jensen!
Jensen is shy at first, but ultimately opens up to reveal an inquisitive, happy, social, playful 5 year old (estimated) who weighs about 60-65 pounds. He’s seriously the sweetest. Squeaky toys get him going, but “fetch” is a foreign concept... He’ll eagerly chase whatever is thrown and then bound happily back to you without it! Jensen is really opening up in his foster home and even rolls over for belly pets now.
He loves playing with others but much prefers calm, laid back dogs. Jensen will self-entertain with his favorite toys, play tug-a-war with his person He loves to be by you but won’t crowd you. He just wants to be in your presence, exuding quiet strength. Oh, and to eat. Brother doesn’t like dining alone so you’ll have to sit with him while he eats.
Jensen is currently working on building up his confidence, and (re) learning basic commands (it’s obvious someone trained him at some point in his life). He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He’s starting to like car rides & hanging out the window, but doesn’t have the best balance and therefore, requires a tether for his own safety.
This big baby boy seeks out soft places when it’s time to rest his head; his cushy dog bed, the couch, & your bed will be his absolute favorite spots in the house. He gives sweet, gentle kisses, and loves all the chin, chest, and booty pets you have to spare. He doesn’t like the top of his head petted and will duck if you try. Also, if YOU think it’s naptime and HE thinks it’s playtime, he WILL tell you about it while snatching that blanket straight off you - You’ve been warned!
Jensen is beyond ready to find his furever home and dedicate the rest of his life to showing you how much love and affection a big guy can give. Jensen would do best in a home without cats, however, he could live with a tough, dog-savvy cat who would put Jensen in his place, if need be. He is not aggressive with cats - just might chase or pester. Homes with children ages 12+ will be considered.
