Jazz (VA)'s Story

"Where you lead, I will follow. If you need, you need me to be with you, I will follow where you lead." Jazz may not know Carole King but, she lives those words! Her sole purpose in life is to be your shadow - cuddle with you on the couch, curl up close by while you're working, go for neighborhood walks (with you), or accompany you on all your errands (do not go without me!). She loves riding in the car. She loves leash walks. She enjoys checking out the backyard as long as you're in sight. This 13 lb. rattie-chi mix is completely house-trained, and will tell you if she needs to go out in between walks. At 9 years-old, she likes her daily routine but she adapts well to new situations. She is fine with her foster sibling but on occasion she will bark at unknown larger dogs. She is untested around cats. Jazz has some hearing loss and may bark to get your attention -- but she is attentive to hand signals if you want her to quiet down. She can hear sharp sounds, like a whistle, but she's completely un-phased by the vacuum cleaner. Because Jazz is so attached to her person, she must be adopted by someone who is home most of the time. She would do well as an only dog; she'd also be fine in a home with another small dog. If you've been looking for a close companion, Jazz is your girl! "Ain't it good to know you've got a friend?" You can see more of Jazz in her photo album at

https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/jazz
If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www.
