Meet Jazz

Say hello to Jazz!

Early summer we started getting calls about an individual trying to give away a GSD at a beach. Her family had re-homed her to a friend of a friend and within a day or 2 this individual was trying to give her away to anyone who would take her. Luckily it all worked out and Jazz is safe and looking for a new family!

Jazz is 5 years old and very tall! She is such a sweetheart! She is generally medium energy but does get spurts of high energy when she is excited.

Sadly, she didn't know how to really be a dog and didn't engage in play or find any enjoyment in toys. All she wanted was to sit in someone's lap! With the help of the awesome trainers at The K9Edge she has really come out of her shell and blossomed!

She is a typical GSD in that she will try and push your buttons. She has been in training since she we got her and has a good obedience foundation. She loves to learn new things.

Jazz lived with another GSD and we have not had any issues with her with other dogs walking by her, no matter the size. We have not put her together with another dog. We believe she would be fine with another dog if the adopters practice the two-week decompression and follow proper and slow introductions managed by an experienced handler.

Jazz also lived with children so we will consider families with children. We will be careful of families with toddlers and younger only due to her size. She is a big girl and may knock a small child over. We will consider all families with GSD experience and dog savvy children. All applications with be considered on a case by case basis.

We do not know how Jazz will do with cats. As far as we know she has never lived with any and we have not exposed her to a cat.

As we do with all our GSDs, Jazz and her trainer will meet with approved adoption applicants. Once a matching family is found, the family will meet with her and her trainer to review his handling and obedience work prior to taking her home. Once she is settled with his new family, follow-up training will be scheduled. Jazz and her new family will get free training for her entire life at The K9Edge in Danvers MA with her trainer. If driving distance is an issue, we will help the adopters find an approved trainer.

Jazz is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.
