Meet miss Jay…. Aka JJ. Jay was born in Feb 2020 and has been a misfit since she was a baby. She’s approx 40lbs, is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, has been spayed, and is microchipped.

Jay is an absolute sweetheart who loves to snuggle. She’s low-medium energy and is fully potty trained and crate trained. Jay sleeps on the couch in her foster home but she would also be ok sleeping in a crate. She can be trusted in your house while you are away, but again can be crated with no issues. She will hop right in when you open the crate door and wait for her treat.

Jay is submissive and timid even after she’s comfortable in her home. She needs to live in a home with another dog who will help her with confidence and security. She’s very much a follower, not a leader. Jay also needs a dog friend who will play chase and gently wrestle. She’s a sensitive girl who will do best in a home with no kids or older children. Loud noises and a lot of unpredictable activity make her nervous. She is in no way aggressive but does get anxious if there is too much activity at home.

Jay loves to go on car rides but can also get nervous when loud vehicles go by. She doesn’t really enjoy going for walks bc it’s outside of her comfort zone. She’s just a homebody.

If you’re looking for a best friend for you and your dog…. Jay is your girl! She’s calm inside the house and prefers being a couch potato. When she’s outside she loves running and chasing squirrels.
