Meet Jaxson, a 10-month-old Lab mix puppy with a heart full of love and a past that no dog should endure. He came to us from a heartbreaking hoarding case-one of many dogs rescued from truly awful conditions. Despite his rough start, Jaxson has so much potential, and he's been patiently waiting at the shelter far longer than any puppy should.

Jaxson is still learning the ropes of being a dog. He hasn't had much training or structure in his young life, so he'll need a patient, committed adopter who can provide him with consistency, time, and lots of positive reinforcement. He's shy and timid at first, but once he feels safe, his goofy, lovable side comes out. He's a big softie who just wants to be loved.

He does great with other dogs and benefits from having a confident canine companion to show him the way. Jaxson loves the water, is a big fan of hot dogs, and is still figuring out how to play-his enthusiasm can be a little rough around the edges, but it's all part of his charm.
