Hey Everyone! I am Jax! Check out my new adoption photo! Handsome, right? I am the shelters longest dog resident, making today my 320th day with the shelter! If you are thinking to yourself, 320 days seems SOO long, just imagine how I feel! All I have been wanting is a home where I can just hang out with my people and soak in all the love that I know I deserve. When people come to the shelter to meet me, I will admit, I can be reactive to the other dogs around me but please don’t let that scare you. I may have not made a doggie friend since being in the shelter but I don’t want that to be the reason my potential forever family over looks me. I am a very sweet boy and I would rather make friends with humans! I love going on walks with staff and volunteers and I am great on my leash! When I am getting one on one time you will see my softer side! I enjoy tasty treats and if you got ‘em I will show you what I can do! I know how to sit, shake a paw and lay down on command! Pretty impressive right? Now just imagine if you took me home and taught me even more!! During the summer months I spent it with a nice lady out at a fire watch tower! She wanted to take a friend with her and to have that extra protection, so I stepped up! It was just her and I out there in the forest and I LOVED it! We went on daily adventures and I enjoyed my freedom. She told the staff that I was the perfect companion ? So if you are looking for a handsome fella to add to your life please consider me! Let me show you who I can be OUTSIDE of shelter. All I ask for is a chance!
