**** Jax is progressing, but still continues to be extremely unsocialized at this time, and the type of home he is needing is not just your typical home. There are quite a few MUST HAVES for him and they are: MUST have someone who is experienced in helping unsocialized breeder dogs transition from the kennel situation to a home. This is NOT just for anyone, as the time and patience put into helping to rehabilitate these dogs is huge. He also MUST have another stable dog, MUST have a secure above ground fenced yard, and MUST have someone home more than the typical working family, and a home with NO kids under the age of 16.
He is a 4 year old Goldendoodle and is the daddy of Candy's puppies! We feel he is now ready to find his forever family after some R and R and decompression. Jax only knew the small confines of a kennel for the 4 years of his life, and he is now ready to experience the love and affection dogs are SUPPOSED to get from people! He is a pretty happy guy and loves to play with his buddy Chip who came in with Jax. We need to get him into a home environment asap so he can be socialized (slowly... on his time) and exposed to the "real world".
We are learning about Jax everyday and as he is still considered a flight risk, and as stated above he will need to go to his forever or foster home with a secure above ground fenced yard with direct access to the yard from the house. We are not sure how he will do with kids and chaos so a home with no kids under 16 is best. He really likes to play with his buddy Chip, but seemingly does just fine with other dogs so he needs another stable dog in his new home as they will be so very important to help show Jax around and how things are done!
Jax's family MUST have the time and patience to work with him on socialization and training. Introducing him to new things will take time as it will not happen overnight. He will need exercise and direction from his family and taking him to training will help build a positive bond with people that Jax has never known. We do not know if he is potty-trained, but has not messed in his kennel run and we do not know how he is with cats.
