Meet Jax-ADOPTION PENDING
Jax is a dignified older gentleman that deserves far better than being turned into a high kill shelter for euthanasia. In his senior years, Jax is a very loving, low maintenance.. and SO sweet guy who just wants to snuggle and be a best friend to an individual or family that desires this pure love in their lives.
Jax, at 11 years old or so and about 9 lbs would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that very sweet lap dog. He will be by your side to hug and love on...these are always the most important thing to Jax! He's a small guy and so portable that he can be a full-time best friend...accompanying his guardians everywhere a small and very lovable dog is allowed.
It's always amazing to us at Farfel's Rescue that these dogs with great and engaging temperaments..and as dignified as Jax end up in precarious situations. Jax was a last-minute save for us...he would have been euthanized in a dismal Texas shelter if kind rescuers hadn't stepped up. But how could they not have? This tiny sweetheart (with no medical challenges) is just so awesome with lots of life left (these smaller breed mixes, with great nutrition and lots of love can live to ripe old ages) ...a life in which he can bring so much joy to a special family.
Jax may be a bit shy initially as rehoming is challenging for any dog...but with love and nurturing, he will absolutely shine. We envision Jax with either retirees (he would be overjoyed with time spent and being at the center of a loving family) or a younger family who works at home or would be able to take Jax to a dog-friendly workplace. A like-sized canine friend would be great as well. Jax would enjoy the companionship and cuddle times with a furry best friend.
For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside along beautiful Colorado paths ...Jax would love nothing more than to share the experience. His foster loves daily neighborhood walks and Jax always comes along. For a while, Jax enjoys walking along...and then up he goes into a backpack to enjoy the view from above. He is always up for these daily walks..fascinated by the activity around him. He breathes in the air...so happy to be free of the dismal shelter environment. And then, maybe his favorite part...it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed close beside his beloved family members.
As a Maltipoo, Jax is a non-shedding guy (and considered to be one of the most hypoallergenic breed mixes available today). As is evident in his photos, Jax coat has had care and grooming. He also has been very well taken care of medically...he's current on all vaccinations, neutered and had a dental just a few months ago. Any family interested in adopting Jax will need to commit to health and coat care. He will require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his beautiful coat cottony- soft, healthy and matt-free.
Jax will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 2/9/18. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Jax please be sure to fill out our adoption application. We're sorry, but we're often unable to get back to those that don't submit an application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
