Jasper Dachshund Rochester, MN

Jasper is a 4-year-old purebred red dapple miniature dachshund. Jasper is neutered and up to date on his vaccines. Jasper comes from a background where he was bullied by a bigger dog. As a result he wasn't allowed any toys without a fight. So he is learning how to play with toys. He likes hard chews like benebones. He like to chew up stuffed toys, so he should be supervised with stuffies. He has shown some resource guarding tendencies with his stuffies and socks. He will always trade his treasure for a treat though. He also like to chew (but not destroy) pillows, and will again resource guard. He is working on this in foster care.
Jasper loves to play fetch with his ball and have a good snuggle. He has excellent potty habits and will bark to go outside. He is crate trained and rides quietly in a crate in the car. He is very sweet boy.

Jasper would do well in a home either by himself or with other small dogs that are dog friendly. He's never been around cats, so that assessment is unknown. He is fine with respectful children.

Jasper has been completely vetted and is ready to be adopted. The adoption fee is $350 + MN sales tax.

- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged.
