Jasper English Setter Nampa, ID

My name is Jasper. I am an Orange Belton English Setter, about one and a half to two years old. I live with a foster mom right now. I was found in a small town outside Boise, ID, running free with another dog. A kind lady picked us up and contacted rescue. I’m very sweet, and (although it’s a little embarrassing to admit 'cause I’m a guy) I’m awfully sensitive too.


I love to play with other dogs that aren’t too rough and I used to chase my foster mom’s cats, but they called my bluff and aren’t any fun anymore. I do love toys and if the other dogs don’t want to play, I can entertain myself for a long time with the toys. However, my favorite time is with people. I can be shy around someone until I get to know them, but then I make a really good buddy. I love my foster mom and the other dogs, but I would really like a home where there’s more “me” time with my family.


The pictures don’t come close to doing me justice. I’m kind of camera shy and my foster mom just can’t seem to get a good picture with my ears up, but take it from me, with my ears up and my head cocked to one side, I am absolutely adorable.


I’m a typical English setter – super sweet with outdoor manners and indoor manners and love to be with my people. I’m neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I’m housetrained and crate trained.
