Jasmine Husky Mix Scranton, PA

Hi, I’m Jasmine, a 3-year-old, 70-pound Husky-mix with striking blue eyes. I am a loving and playful girl who likes to hang out with you throughout the day. While I am good with other dogs, I am not good with cats due to my prey drive. In my previous home, I was reportedly bullied by children. I am still good with children but should be paired with kiddos ages 10 and up who have good pet manners. I do just fine with women but I looooooovvvveeee men. My foster mom dotes on me but when my foster dad enters the room, I drop everything for his attention. What can I say? I am a man’s dog type of gal.

I would thrive in a household with a semi-active lifestyle because I’m always up for fun but also enjoy relaxing! I’m great to take to places like pet or hardware stores, on hikes and other adventures. No need to worry about me on the way there because I ride great in the car! I may pull on the leash at first but once I overcome my excitement, I walk close to you in a nice heel. I love playing with other dogs including my adult foster sister who likes to run the backyard with me and the two puppy fosters that like to wrestle with me. I would do best in a home that has a fenced in backyard so I can stretch my legs with some quick zoomies from time to time but could also live in an apartment if provided regular walks and other activities.

Contrary to the norm, I am a lower energy, no-howl Husky. Relaxing is another sport I’m great at. I love to cuddle on the couch with you when it’s time to take it easy. I will also compete with you in some midday snore offs if you are up for a nap competition. I am well behaved in the home. I don’t love being in a crate but will obediently go in if you say, “kennel up”. I am potty trained and don’t chew on things, so I don’t need a kennel if you don’t want to use one. I am very treat-motivated, which helps me learn tricks and cues. I might pace if I am anxious and will likely do so from time to time over the first few days in a new home. I take treats very gently. I can try to slip out of the door so please be careful with this when folks are coming and going. I have strong recall which helps but you will want to be aware that I can be sneaky. The groomers also said I was a very well-behaved and cooperative girl. I’m just a complete fetch!

I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on preventatives. I’m healthy and weigh 70 lbs. I’m looking for a wonderful family who will love me through and through. I’m being fostered near Nashville, TN but can be transported to other states for the right home. Please note, there is a separate transport fee.
