We’re thrilled to introduce you to our beautiful 2-year-old Lab mix, Janice! She came to us as a stray after a kind-hearted person contacted animal control, concerned for her safety. Janice was blissfully unaware of the dangers around her and often found herself in some tricky situations, like standing in the middle of the road while cars honked to get her attention. But now she’s safe and ready for a new adventure!<br/><br/>Janice has been with us for 8 days, and even though we’re still getting to know her, we’re already certain she’s a real sweetheart. Everyone here, from the staff to the excellent HK9 student trainers, can’t stop raving about her friendly and loving nature. When she met another dog at the shelter, she waltzed right up with a wagging tail, excited to make a new friend!<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a fun, easy-going companion to brighten your days, Janice might be the perfect match for you! Iredell County Animal Services & Control Department's Adoption Policy

The adoption fee for our dogs and puppies is $80.00. This includes the cost of the spay or neuter, the microchip, the first rabies vaccination, the first distemper/parvo vaccination and being de-wormed. The adoption fee for our cats and kittens is $65.00. This includes the cost of the spay or neuter, the first rabies vaccination, the first distemper/upper respiratory combo vaccination and being de-wormed. Occassionally, we have other domestic pets for adoption as well, including (but not limited to) hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats and horses. Please check for availability of these animals. Our address is 430 Bristol Dr., Statesville, NC 28677. Take I-40 to exit # 148 and go South on Garner Bagnal Blvd. When you are at the light in front of Kewaunee Scientific, turn right onto Bristol Dr. We are approximately 1/4 mile down on the right behind the Iredell County Agriculture Department. Our visiting hours are from 10:30 am

Our Mission

We have a rabies clinic on the 2nd Tuesday night of every month from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. If your pet has a current rabies vaccination, bring written proof and it can get a 3 year booster vaccination.
