Janice Labrador Retriever & Yellow Labrador Retriever Mix Pawtucket, RI

Janice is as sweet as she is stunning. Truly an amazing dog who turns heads and draws comments on every walk. She is confident, generally calm, and is very loving to everyone she meets. She loves snuggles but is not overly licky or slobbery. She'll nudge you with her nose and give a lean on your leg.

Janice likes her crate and lounges in it while open during the day. She will go in easily when asked. She is silly and will roll around in the yard, and play with her ball like the puppy she still is. She hits herself in the face with her tail when she really gets wagging. She "moos", groaning randomly for apparently no reason. She's very smart and likes stimulating activities like a snuffle mat and a food ball. She's extremely graceful for a dog her size (approximately 80 pounds).

Janice is about 2 years old and is house trained. She loves playing with other dogs and will jump around on her leash a bit when she sees one. She would do well in a house with another friendly dog who likes to play. Janice hasn’t been around cats.

Janice will occasionally paw at you if she wants to play. Being a big dog, she can do so with some force. She used to do so when she wanted snuggles but is doing great at breaking the habit. It's sometimes hard for her to remember her manners when she's excited and wants to play. For this reason, she might do best with children 7 and older.

Janice is looking for a home where she can get an hour or two of exercise a day... Either long walks, running, fetch, dog parks, doggy day care or play dates. She does great all day and will nap or occupy herself with her bones and toys but by evening, she has a lot of pent up energy and will let you know she wants to play! Ideally she would probably prefer a family that isn't away from the house all day every day. She doesn't exhibit anxiety but is clearly happier when her people are around her.
