Janey - Reduced Rover Terrier & Dachshund Mix New Orleans, LA

Janey is part of the Reduced Rover program with Take Paws Rescue. Her adoption fee is $100 and includes a one-on-one in person at home training session with her future family.

Hi This is Janey! She is a two year old terrier mix and weighs 28 pounds. She is sweet and energetic. Janey LOVES her play time. When excited she can be puppy like and mouthy, yet she redirects easily with a toy. She loves car rides and is house/kennel broken. Janey does need to warm up to you before completely feeling comfortable and with that she will need a patient owner. Janey would prefer a home without cats but is dog friendly. She meets people best on a leash and in controlled environments. She wants to be someone’s best friend, playing in the yard and relaxing on the couch. Janey is patiently and excitingly waiting on her forever home. We hope you can give Janey that chance to live her best life!

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2021 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $300
Dogs over 12 months - $200


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
