Meet Jake!

Hi! I'm Jake. Jake from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue!

Jake came to the rescue and is with a foster family as his mom was living in her car and unable to find a home for her and her three dogs. She wanted the best for her pups so she made the extremely tough decision to relinquish them to the rescue in Alabama to find him and his siblings amazing, forever homes.

Jake is quite the mix of breeds. From behind you may say a short haired Corgi and from the front you may say Cattle dog mix or just a Terrier mix. Either way, so far he is a sweet young man of 8yrs and quite the character. He is categorized as a senior, but he definitely does not act like a senior dog. More like a teenager but chills out for some petting time.

Leash Walking: Walks nice with little pull. He does look back to check-in with you which is GREAT!

Jake enjoys walks and would likely do well as a hiking buddy. He is athletic and likes to play fetch with a toy or a ball. He will even take them on his walk.

Jake is good for his grooming which consists of a bath and nails. Very easy to care for this short little guy.

Jake is available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. He is Neutered, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

All Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue dogs are in homes with foster families; we do not have a shelter where dogs are available for daily viewing.

Our process is as follows:
1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/
2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
