Meet JAKE

Meet Jake... a beautiful 13-lb. dapple Dachshund who is looking for his forever home, along with his Poodle 'brother', Lambchop (also listed on Petfinder.com). Unfortunately, their guardian passed away, leaving them homeless. Since they have been together for many years, we are only adopting them together as a bonded pair

Jake's a happy boy, and you'd never know he is 12-years old by the way he runs around his yard! He's housetrained and crate trained... he and Lambchop sleep together at night, in their crate.

Jake is a fairly quiet little guy... not a big barker as are many Dachshunds. He gets along well with other dogs he meets, his tail constantly wagging. He also rides well in the car and enjoys going for walks on a leash.

We are looking for a home and family for Jake and Lambchop that will be home much of the day so they can be let out to 'potty' during the day. A fenced yard is also necessary... for their safely, and also since they love to run and play, and lay outside, basking in the sunshine.

Jake is neutered, microchipped, current on his Rabies and DHP/Parvo vaccines. He tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

Jake and Lambchop's adoption fee... for the pair... is $400.00

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!

If you are interested in Jake and Lambchop, and think they may be your ideal canine companions, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process. To get an application, you can cut and paste this link to our online application: http://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application. You may also download an application from our website, or e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information or to request an application.

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never “ship” or “transport” our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
