Jake Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Aspen, CO

Hi! My name is Jake and my foster parents say I'm about as sweet as they come. I am about 10 months old and 60 pounds.I didn't get the best start to this whole "man's best friend thing" and spent most of my first year outside with my brother Elwood (he's available for adoption too), but I'm one smart pup and catching on really quickly. So far I've aced my house training, I'm catching on to sitting, staying, laying down AND am working on my crate training. I really like having it as a safe space I can go to while I adjust to all the new stuff as an inside dog (like this weird thing called a "tv"), but I still get a bit nervous when you leave. I guess I'm just worried that you'll forget about me and not come back. My foster folks say that's normal though and it will get easier over time as I build trust. I love being able to play with my foster sister and I would even love to play with my giant, old, Great Dane foster brother, but he's a little grumpy sometimes. I don't mind at all though and I wag my tail at him all the time, even if they do call him the "fun police". I'd probably do best in a forever home with other dog friends, and my foster family swears I'll be the best Colorado adventure dog in town.
