Jacob's Story

Jacob's journey hasn’t been easy. Purchased from a pet store, he was failed by his first family, who never invested in his training or care—they then dumped him at a kill shelter in NYC at just 10 months old.

But Jacob is a survivor. A true showstopper - he turns heads everywhere he goes with his striking looks and vibrant energy. He’s affectionate, social, and full of life. Jacob is great at dog parks where he happily greets new people and plays with every dog he meets. He is cuddly and always smiling.

Jacob completed a professional 4-week board-and-train program to refine his manners. He knows all commands and much more. He's incredibly smart and eager to learn, but he needs structure and consistent guidance.

Jacob is a fantastic walking partner (the longer the better!) and is used to the chaos of city life—buses, crowds, running children, other dogs—none of it fazes him. He previously lived with kids, but at this time, we’re looking for a home without young children so Jacob can be the center of attention and continue thriving.

Jacob is 1.7 YRs old, house-trained, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. We’ve poured time, love, and training into this boy because we believe in him—and we know the right person will too.

Jacob is good with cats and lives with two cats now.

HOW TO APPLY FOR JACOB:

To apply for Jacob, please go to www.gwarp.org and fill out a dog application form.
