Meet Jack Worth (Dallas)

ALL adoptions require a completed application, home check and final contract. The application can be found at www.camorescue.com

My name is Jack and I am about 10 years old, and weigh about 8 pounds. My family surrendered me because of medical conditions. Camo saved me and got my hernia fixed, neutered me, and got me a dental. I have cataracts and some loss of vision. It doesn’t affect me getting around during daytime, but if the house is very dark at night, I have bumped into the doggy gate if it is closed. I have some arthritis in my front left shoulder and it is sensitive if you pick me up supporting my left side. My hearing seems fine, and I come when you call me.

I am mostly house trained and will look up at you when I need to go outside. I have had a few accidents in the house during the night, if I eat my dinner a little later than normal.

If my other foster doggy family members bump into me while I am not looking, I get surprised and sometimes growl and snap at them. I also get upset sometimes when other dogs get too close to me while I am resting.

I love attention. I like to sit on the couch and lay on the bed at night and get love and scratches. When I get tired, I will move away a little and take a nap. I will meet you at the door when you return home, and bark to tell you hello and that I want some petting. I like to hang out in the kitchen and beg for treats while my foster mommy is cooking. At night I will come and look up at you to tell you it’s time to get on the bed and watch TV. I need to be lifted off of the couch and bet so I don’t jump off and hurt myself. I sleep on a doggy bed on the floor so there isn’t a chance of me jumping or falling off during the night.

Due to my age and size, I would be safer in a home without very young kids that might accidentally stumble on me or play too rough with me.

I do OK on a leash when I want to sniff around or go to the bathroom, but I haven’t been on a leash very much. I do not fight it, though.

Fees cover spay/neuter and shots

Once your approved to adopt we will put you in touch with the foster to see if its a good match and then we can arrange a meet and greet. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Due to the fact that we primarily rescue very small dogs and some bad outcomes, we will not place our dogs in homes with overly large dogs or bully breeds for the safety of our dogs.

CAMO rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing small dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. our EIN # is 46-5486022
We rescue 800+ animals a year.
