Jack’s FAQs

What is One Dane at a Time, Inc.’s adoption process?

If you are interested in one of our adoptables, first submit an adoption application. We try to screen and review the application within 72 hours, and we will reach out by phone or email to discuss. Next step is scheduling a home check before arranging a meet and greet with the dog. We are a foster-based rescue, meaning we do not have a facility and our dogs are living with volunteers, and we are all over the state of California, though primarily located in SoCal and central Cal. Each dog should have it's location listed in the description on their profile, and it is the potential adopters responsibility to arrange ground transport. Lastly, we do allow out-of-state adoptions, it is the responsibility of the adopter to transport and we do not allow the dogs to fly.
