Jack is a handsome, funny mini-Australian Shepherd who is ready for his forever home. He is just under 3 years old, very overweight at 50 pounds (he should weigh closer to 30 pounds), and he sports a nice red tri coat. Jack is housebroken, crate-trained and he knows a few of his basic obedience commands. He walks nicely on leash and absolutely loves to go for rides in the car.
Jack loves people! He is a medium Velcro guy who loves to be in the same room with you, even share a sofa with you, but he does not need to be in your lap. Jack also loves other dogs. At his current weight he is a little slow and not really interested in games of chase, but he loves to have dog pals – they are fun and give him confidence! Jack loves to go for walks, explore his yard, get lots of snuggles, go places in the car, and sit in the window and watch the birds and squirrels go by! He also loves to play with squeaky toys and chew on bones and pig ears. Jack has had no exposure to cats.
The ideal home for Jack is active in a peaceful way, shared with a family that is ready to welcome a wonderful boy who is looking for fun and a great diet! A fenced yard and a confident playful dog are required, children over the age of 12 are welcome, and it is critical that his adopters be committed to a weight loss plan.
