Jack Jack Russell Terrier Toronto, ON

My name is Jack and I’m approximately 18 months old, weigh about 15 lbs. and I’m almost all Jack Russell as I have the colour, the size, the temperament, the character and the energy of a Jack.

I have only one eye due to an attack by a big dog but that doesn't slow me down. Just call me Jack Sparrow the Pirate! I have no health issues, however I'm not keen on big dogs now, however, with the proper introduction, I might be good with a dog my size :)
I have lived with cats and it would be a good idea to have family who is well versed in socializing crazy, high energy jrts with them. I am very playful so might be good for a family with older kids, however care should be taken as I am a jumpy little guy and wouldn't want to hurt anyone!

I am house trained, crate trained and travel well in the car in my crate. I sleep in my crate at nighttime. I am very smart and come when called, sit, stay, wait and lie down and look for a treat for getting it right. I take treats very gently, and I love my veggies (carrots, broccoli and tomato so far).

I love my toys, especially the squeaky ones but I am a bit rough with them and they do get a daily beating! I’m quite happy playing with my toys on my own as well.

I am working on leash walking with my foster mom and am doing well, she says. I wear a harness well and don’t pull and strain on the leash. My foster mom is helping with lots of treats, which I love.

I’m not a barker. I love the outdoors and walking and playing in the snow. My nose is very much in gear when I’m out as every snow hole has to be checked out. Even though I can be super energetic, I do have down times when my battery has to be recharged so I sometimes curl up next to foster Mum or stretch out in front of the fire.

I love my foster home but want to find my forever home with an adopter who knows the Jack Russell breed and who can meet the special needs that I have as a Jack with time, understanding and patience. And in return, I will reward you with fun, loyalty, friendship and cuddles, kisses and love.
