"Izzy is the PYRfect dog. She is mellow, she is sweet, she has playful moments, and she just a great girl to have around! When Izzy first came to use she hid with her head in the corner. The poor girl had no idea what was happening. After a few days, she started exploring the house more, and now she fits in amazingly! She loves going outside and exploring but is so happy when you let her back inside. Izzy is very loyal and will brave the snow and cold temps for you if you are doing something outside. She does not want back in until you go in. Izzy does great with the other dogs here and pays no attention to the cats. She has excellent house manners and is given free roam of the house. If you are wanting a friendly and mellow girl, Izzy is the one for you!"

Izzy is a 3-year-old female Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix. She is a big girl and weighs 95lbs. While she may be a big girl, she is very gentle and mellow. She doesn't jump on people, and quietly accepts her pets and lovings. She isn't pushy about getting attention either. She loves it, but once you are done petting her she plops down somewhere. Izzy is friendly when meeting new people but reserved. She has not been to any public outings. Izzy has not shown to be a big barker or chewer in her foster home. Izzy has not shown any signs of food aggression or resource guarding.

Izzy is a mellow girl. She has good house manners, and sleeps most of the day. When you let her out, she enjoys romping around the yard. If you are outside with her, she is usually always close by and waits to go in with you. Izzy has not shown any interest in fetch or playing with toys. We are unsure if she is a water dog or not. She doesn't seem to mind the snow but also doesn't seem to love it either. She seems indifferent to it. Izzy rides well in the car and has decent leash manners.

-Izzy is good with other dogs. She is indifferent to them inside the house but sometimes plays with them outside.

-Izzy has not been around any kids so we are unsure how she would do with them.

-Izzy's fosters do not kennel. She has free roam of the house when no one is home and at night and does excellent.

-Izzy is being fostered in Kiowa, OK. We do not send our dogs on transport or ship them. Her new family needs to be able to pick her up.

Izzy has the personality that allows her to fit into pretty much any home environment. She would be fine with or without other dogs in her new home. Her adoption fee is $225. That includes DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella shots. He will be micro-chipped, heart-worm tested, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
