Meet IZZY!

NOV 13: I've done some talking with the people who helped drive Izzy out here from IA. There were several men involved with the transport, so I wanted to find out how she acted with them, as no one had mentioned any type of fear issues. She was afraid of the husband who overnighted her in St Louis, but by morning she was fine around him. And the men who drove had no problems whatsoever. So I think she's a little picky about the men she's afraid of or not, but I wouldn't consider it a hopeless case. Whew! Good news for little Izzy!NOV 2: Izzy had a vet appointment this weekend and is in great shape! She got her rabies shot, which was the only one she didn't already have before arriving, so she is ready for her forever family to find her! We did make one discovery this weekend while we were at the vet's. Izzy appears to be afraid of men. Not all men, but definitely the vet tech! I'll be working with her on this but it might take some time to undo whatever was done. So Izzy would be perfect for a home with no men or with a very VERY patient one who will help her learn to trust him. We've also discovered that Izzy likes sitting in the bathtub. I have no idea why, but she'll randomly go hop in the tub when she's playing with the other doggies. It's really very funny!OCT 29: Izzy arrived on Sunday and she is such a joy! She is a happy girl, plays really well with all of the dogs in my house, but comes by to sit in my lap and get some loving once she's tired of running around with the other crazy puggles. Her coat is the softest I have ever felt - she feels like angora or cashmere! Not smooth and sleek like some puggles, although she does have a short coat, this girl is so soft you expect her to be fluffy. Crate trained and seems to be housebroken. I got a really good group of dogs this weekend, and I'm so glad Izzy was one of them!OCT 16: Izzy has been pulled from a shelter in Clinton, IA and is being added to the transport next weekend. She is 1 1/2 years old and found herself in need of a new forever home due to some very unfortunate and unexpected circumstances. She looks happy as a clam though, doesn't she? I can't wait to meet her!! Stay tuned!
