Izzie was adopted from The Animal Care Society several years ago as a young pup. She lived in a loving home but unfortunately due to schedule changes, they were no longer able to care for her. According to her previous owners, Izzie is well mannered, housebroken and gets along with children. She doesn't enjoy the company of other animals, however. Last year, Izzie was diagnosed with Addison's disease. This means that her adrenal glands no longer produce enough steroids to keep her organs happy. The good thing is, this can be managed with an inexpensive pill that she takes daily. While the disease is not curable, she can live a long, normal life with her medication. She recently had bloodwork ran at the vet's office and they said she is doing excellent. Izzie is a very, very sweet dog, that wants nothing more than to please her people. Her favorite toy is her lamb chop stuffed animal, she likes to carry that around everywhere she goes. She also enjoys going on walks and playing fetch.
