Meet Ivy
Ivy came to us at 3 months of age. She was surrendered to an area veterinarian by a puppy broker as she was considered unsuitable for sale. Gratefully, the veterinarian made sure she found rescue!
Ivy is an active, very happy 5 month old now. She is considered "special needs" as she demonstrates behaviors suggestive of probable vision issues and potential neurological issues. She is currently on the wait list with our veterinary specialists for a full evaluation and diagnosis, so more to come soon.
But none of that stops her from playing up a storm with her foster GSD sisters (or any other dog willing to play with her!) and it doesn't stop her from eating like there's no tomorrow, either.
Ivy is still ALL puppy, and still having to learn that sharp puppy teeth on human skin is a no-no. Her favorite thing in the world is to be a lap dog, and will cuddle for as long as you're happy to have a warm puppy in your lap! Her newly-discovered second favorite is puppy whips (whipped cream treats).
We are accepting applications for Ivy's adoption and will inform all interested parties of her diagnosis once known.
Ivy is up to date on her puppy shots until 1 year of age but does still need to be spayed, and that requirement will be included in her adoption contract.
Meanwhile, this pretty girl is enjoying life to the fullest while playing with her foster siblings and lots of SGSDR "aunties" (canine and human alike) who give her foster family a few breaks from all those puppy teef! :-)
Our Adoption Fees:
-------------------
*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $400
* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $350
* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:
