- Coat length
- Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered.
Isis is 3 1/2 years old and such a gentle soul.... sweet and loyal.
This beautiful gal arrived into foster care from Arkansas on 6/2/2012. She had been living in an outside rescue with her sisters, Ivy and Izzie since 2009. Finally, a foster home opened up and she was brought to New England for a fresh start at life.
She is really coming out of her shell, feeling comfortable and loves living in a home with other dogs. Isis continues to make great progress after such a rough start in life.
This beautiful sweet 75 pound girl loves to please her people and play with the resident dogs. She does well with 1-2 walks per day and/or yard play time with another dog and she loves water.
Though initially Isis can be very shy (especially around men), she does loves attention and just needs to feel safe to warm up to people. She gets along with other dogs, is submissive, and loves to play. Isis is not obedience trained, but minds well with gentle correction and does fine on a leash. Her favorite toy is a large squeaky tennis ball, which she can toss and squeak it for hours!! She is a little timid around children, but has been exposed to kids ranging in ages from 3-17 years old. Overall, her ideal forever home would include playtime, patience, and love.
Isis would be content with a couple of walks a day or a fenced in yard to play with a canine friend. She would love to find her forever home .......... is it yours?

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning "pending adoption".
If this Dog is marked Urgent, it is because the Arkansas shelter where he/she resides is overfull. **Please do not ask local shelters to take this dog in, there are many reasons why they cannot.** Please also do not send us letters about why we euthanize, AHR does not euthanize, but the shelters we work with do. We are a rescue and we pull as many dogs as we have foster homes and funds for. We, like the shelter, do not have unlimited resources. Please, please: foster, adopt or sponsor a dog to help save their lives.
. We pay a Transportation Service from Arkansas to bring the dogs to New England. The adoption fee is $350 for dogs through 6 months of age, $300 for dogs 7 months-5 years, and $275 for dogs 6 years and older; (for bonded pairs: $250.00/per dog). This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/erlichea test, worming and for imported dogs: transport on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate.
