Meet Isaac

Hi, my name is Isaac! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Active, playful, extroverted, exuberant, super goofy
-Can Live with Kids: No. My previous owner said that while I do seem to LIKE kids, I am WAY too rough with them and would not do well sharing my home with them. Maybe some day in the future I could coexist with sturdy, dog-savvy kids, but I will need to do a LOT of brushing up on my manners first. At this time, I need an ADULT ONLY home, please.
-Can Live with Cats: No, I have a high prey drive.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, another rough and rowdy player who is tolerant of puppy energy would be a good match for Isaac and would help show him manners as well as getting him exercise. If Isaac lives in a home without another dog he will need lots of socialization with other dogs which could be in the form of play dates or doggy day care.
-Can do Apartment Living: No, I need lots of space to run around and would not be happy in an apartment. I would *really* love a large fenced yard!!
-Potty Trained: Appears to be!
-Bite History: No, but I can be mouthy and will need your help to learn how to express my excitement in more appropriate ways than with my teeth.
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, three private lessons.
-Energy Level: VERY HIGH!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!
-Additional Information: HELLO NEW FRIEND!! MY NAME IS ISAAC AND I AM SO VERY PLEASED TO MEET YOU!! MY FRIENDS AT THE SHELTER THINK THAT IF I COULD TALK, I WOULD TALK IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I'M JUST SO FULL OF EXCITEMENT ABOUT ALL OF THE THINGS!!!!!!!
Isaac was originally purchased from a breeder as a tiny, cute lil puppy. He wasn't given much in the way of exercise, mental stimulation, or basic training, and as he grew older (and much larger), became increasingly difficult for his elderly owner to handle. Although he missed out on a large window of opportunity for training as a pup, we're of the mindset that it's "better late than never", and are working on getting him up to speed! Isaac will need an EXPERIENCED adopter with the patience, dedication, and sense of humor to set him up for a lifetime of success. Isaac has reportedly never been left alone, and can often be quite the troublemaker (think chewing your shoes, getting into the garbage can, climbing on top of your counters....fun puppy stuff!!) Keeping him active both physically and mentally will be very important for this energetic guy. Things like food puzzles, treat feeders, snuffle mats, stuffed Kongs, etc will help him stay busy and engaged if you have other things going on. Daycare may also be a good option should you need to be away from home for long periods of time. Issac, while a bit "ruff" around the edges, is super friendly, loving, and loyal, and we know he has a ton of potential to be a wonderful lifelong companion for the right person. If you'd like to meet this big, goofy boy, fill out an application and tell them Isaac sent ya! Don't forget to bring your treats! :)
