Meet Iris

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Iris!

Iris is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up!

Meet Iris!

Iris is the cutest mutt around! Iris and her siblings landed themselves on the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter. When their time was up, we were able to get them to safety and in a foster home.

Iris is 3 months old (as of 2/20/2023). She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and ready to find a family to call her own! She will be adopted out on a spay contract and spayed at 6 months of age.

Iris currently weighs about 15 pounds with room to grow! We anticipate that she will grow to be a medium - large size dog

Iris is such a young pup that she is friendly with everyone she meets! (dogs, cats & kids).

Iris is full of personality and a total puppy. She loves to romp around and play with her litter mates, but also loves to climb in your lap for snuggles. We think she would love another dog in the home to show her the ropes, but this is not necessary.

Iris would love a fully fenced yard or an active family as she (and most puppies) have puppy energy she'll need to burn off. All of our puppies under the age of 1 year old are required to attend some form of puppy obedience classes / training with their new adoptive family.

Iris is not quite potty trained at this point and we'll be looking for a patient family who will continue to work with her on potty training. Her foster family is doing their best to help her become fully potty trained and we're sure she'll make progress towards being fully potty trained by the time she transports to her new family! Iris is still working on crate training since she is such a young pup, currently she does well in a baby gated room.
