Foster insights/story :
Ingrid is full of life and love. Although, she can assertively, alert bark when strangers approach, she rarely barks at all. She is more of a talker, and likes to verbalize her love and happiness with sweet sighs of affection.
She is quick to discern that we are helping, with all our prodding and routine baths. She gladly accepts it all, with no hesitation, as long as you promise some ear-rubbing and a good, long head-scratch’n afterward!
Ingrid came to us as an Owner Surrender from a young military family, who could no longer care for Ingrid’s continual and worsening, chronic skin issues. They originally got her as a puppy when they lived in Nebraska. She had no medical conditions, until they were transferred when Ingrid was 4 years old. Once in East Texas, she started losing weight and scratching fiercely, till she bled.
For the past 2 years, she has had, skin scrapes, testing, antibiotics, allergy medication and anti-itch meds. All, with no definite diagnosis and no signs of improvement. Not once, did any of the multiple veterinarians encourage complete, full spectrum, blood drawn allergen testing.
When she arrived with us, we performed the Nextmune Full Panel Allergy Test, which allowed us to pinpoint the exact allergens that are causing her symptoms. We were able to remove a few of these from her diet and environment, but the majority will require regional relocation, before major improvements can be seen; and for sweet Ingrid to finally get some relief!
She deserves to feel happy and vibrant, again…just like the feeling she gives everyone who meets her.
