Indy Pit Bull Terrier Mix Lockport, IL

Miss Indy is a sweet little thing! Our little girl loves a good play session in the yard or a romp around the house with a toy, but also loves to cuddle on the couch or lay in the sun outside. So much so that our foster has a whole album of photos just for Indy and her many couch naps. Best of both worlds with a playful AND cuddly companion! Indy takes some time to adapt to new surroundings and can be initially shy with new people and places, but it isn't long before you get to see the sweet-natured and loving girl she truly is. She will say hi and then walk away, and slowly come back for more and more love. It’s quite special to witness and be a part of: seeing her open up and choose you. But don’t let that shyness fool you. Indy is great with kids!

We have her listed as a pit bull terrier mix, but your guess is as good as ours! She is quite the petite thing though so who knows what she could be mixed with.

Indy loves being around other dogs, and the confidence they give her when she is in new settings. She is food motivated and loves to learn new commands! Indy has perfected sit, paw, touch, come and is working on stay. Indy is looking for a playmate and would do best in a home that has a dog and a yard. She loves walks and absolutely stops to smell the roses. Its the little things in life, right? Given how food motivated she is (she is a sucker for peanut butter, pumpkin and yogurt), we think the sky is the limit with Indy and what she is capable of learning. Such a sponge!

Indy is doing well with house training, and is crated when her family leaves the house, and at night. Admittedly, the crate is not her favorite during the day, but she has made great progress in the time she has been in her foster home.

This little lovebug can’t wait to settle into her forever home.

The adoption donation for Indy is $300. This fee helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations.
