Meet Indie

1/18 Indie is currently on a trial home visit with a prospective home ... fingers and paws crossed!

***

12/27/20 An endorsement from one of Indie's best volunteer buddies: "Indie is an absolutely wonderful girl. She is as gentle as they come, but still has that fun puppy energy. She love going tor walks, playing with squeaky toys, and she also knows how to sit, shake, lie down, and fetch. My favorite thing about Indie are her hugs. She love to snuggle, and I can tell she forms very strong bonds with people."

***
At only seven months old (B 3/20) at the time of her arrival, Indie has already lost a home. Her former family got her for their 11 y.o. daughter--but with no yard and the parents working 60-hour weeks, Indie was not getting the attention or exercise she needs. She would spend up to 12 hours a day alone ... far too much for any young, active pup.

Undeterred, Indie is a happy-go-lucky kind of girl, ready to move on and move in with her *forever* family. She is the best of both worlds--always game for a romp or game of fetch, but also a superior cuddle pup. She's house-trained, great with older kids, and loved the family cat. If you have a pup-friendly lifestyle, and room in your heart and home for this big (and still growing) girl, we'd love to hear from you! Please visit www.STAF.org for visiting hours, a downloadable application, and additional information.

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• We require a 4-foot-tall physical fence for homes with children under the age of 11. We also may require a physical fence for specific dogs on a case-by-case basis, depending on each dog’s behavior and exercise needs.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 75-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
