INDIE is an especially sweet little bundle of love! She is a Bassett Hound/Pittie mix, appx 3-4 years old & INDIE weighs around 55#...shes a genuine New Mexico LowRider! INDIE came to NMDOG off of a local Rez, she was in pretty bad shape when we first met & untrusting of people. It didnt take INDIE long to learn she really enjoyed living the good life....lots & lots of love, the best snuggles around, good yummy food & sleeping inside every night where it is safe, warm & soft. INDIE has taken nicely to the Rescue life & now shes ready to find a home of her very own.

INDIES current foster parents are retired, so shes used to having her humans around much of the time. She would probably enjoy being the only dog in the home, but we will entertain the idea of a resident dog on a case by case basis. INDIE is housetrained, cratetrained & she walks very politely on her leash + harness. INDIE is a quiet little girl overall but she makes the most ADORABULL little noises when shes super happy or excited.....she is ridiculously cute! INDIE is very, very smart & will be completely devoted to her Family. No kids under 10 for INDIE please....she prefers a more relaxed & consistent environment. If you are looking for a snugglemuffin companion to fill your heart & your home with love.....Miss INDIE is your kind of girl!

As an all volunteer, foster based, 501(c)3 non profit rescue, NMDOG is always in need of new, approved foster & adoptive homes in order to continue our Mission: to serve & protect New Mexico's Forgotten Dogs!! #UNchained

If you see a dog you are interested in that says "in need of a foster home", we are currently seeking a temporary foster home for that dog in order to provide them with the cozy & loving experience of a home environment while we work hard to find their forever family. This also frees up space & funds, which enables us to save another life. There is never a cost to foster for NMDOG & you will have the dedicated support of the NMDOG TEAM every step of the way. We take the time to really get to know the needs & personalities of our kids & we go the extra mile to ensure we make the best possible match...setting our dogs & their humans up for success! To learn more about the NMDOG Foster Program, please visit this link on our website - www.nmdog.org/foster

Our adoption fee is $250 which includes; a 7 week NMDOG obedience/bonding class with your new Dog (classes are located in Abq & are also offered to our Foster Guardians at no charge), a complimentary vet wellness check & our dogs come with all of the supplies they need to get started on a trial adoption in their new home. All adopted dogs also receive free or discounted goodies & services from many of our awesome community partners!! Grooming, food, training, boarding, pet sitting & more.

NMDOG doesn't cut any corners when it comes to the care & placement of our dogs. When a dog enters the NMDOG program, they are guaranteed to receive the very best of care. All of our available dogs have received a full medical & behavioral clearance prior to placement. They are (at the very minimum) spayed or neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, Heartworm tested & currently on HW/flea & tick preventative. Due to the nature of our work, many of the dogs we rescue need much more extensive care before they are cleared for adoption. At NMDOG, we stand by our dogs for life & we make a promise to always be there for them (& their people) should they ever need us. .

Please contact us with your interest in becoming a treasured NMDOG Foster Guardian or FoReVeR Guardian Angel to one of our amazing dogs in need! Direct email contact for applications ~ TiffanyN@nmdog.org
We look forward to hearing from you & answering any questions you may have. WooF!!
