If you have always wanted a house horse...say hello to Indiana Bones! This 132lb goober is sure to steal your heart!

He is very tall and lean. He still has a lot of puppy mannerisms that will keep you smiling all day! He is always alert and ready to play with toys the minute he hears one squeak. He is good with other dogs and has a blast playing and wrestling with them. With that said, he is a big boy so I do believe he should go to a home with no small dogs. He has stepped on my cocker spaniel's paws a few times and accidentally hurt them. He can be a bull in a china shop sometimes when it comes to personal space ?

Indiana is good with dog-savvy cats but will give chase if they run. He is not being fostered around kids but due to his size, I think he would do best if they were 12 years or older. Indy is in his teenage stage right now so will sometimes push the limits, but is very receptive to redirection or telling him no. However, is new family does need to be familiar with bigs dogs. His size can be a bit intimidating, but he really is just a big teddy bear that needs some guidance.

Indiana Bones comes to work with me and does well with all my co-workers. He LOVES car rides and will jump right in. However, he does move around a lot. That could be because I have a smaller car and he is just trying to get comfortable though, haha! Indiana Bones does good on the leash, but like most big dogs will take YOU on a walk if he wants to go somewhere.

Indy has good house manners and has not been a big chewer. However, things are puppy proofed and he is usually never left unattended very long. Indy is NOT kennel trained, I don't even know if he could fit into one haha. He is given free roam of the house and does well. I can always count on him to follow me into the bedroom at night, and stay all night long. Even though he can sleep wherever he pleases in the house. Indy is going to make one lucky family very very happy! This boy is so special and sweet! ♥

----------------------------------

It all happened very suddenly. One minute I had a family, and the next I was wandering the road. How that happened...I really don't know. That day is a big blur to me. I do remember wandering into a quiet little subdivision from the main road. I remember seeing a family loading up into the car and I was so excited! I started happily trotting their way. I guess something spooked them because by the time I got to them, they had all jumped in the car and closed the door. I remember standing by their car and looking at it. I wondered why they weren't coming out to say hello to me. Didn't they know that I was out there waiting for them? I started to get really sad and ended up just awkwardly standing there. I didn't know what I was supposed to do now.

Out of the blue, I hear someone whistle. I excitedly looked around and spotted a nice lady. I was so happy...another human! I happily trotted up to her and then remembered my street smarts! I suddenly lost my nerve and while I wanted to say hi kept a safe distance. Until she sat on the ground. Then, it was over! I came running up to her and put my head in her lap and just about did a flip trying to lay down while keeping my head in her lap. She gave me lots of pets and kept asking me who I was. I wish I could have told her, but I really didn't know. All I knew was that I finally wasn't alone anymore.

Apparently, the lady that called me over had been pulling out of her driveway when I showed up to go to work. That is how I originally missed her! When she saw me she stopped the car and called me over. It was very hot and I was panting like crazy and the nice lady had to get to work. So, she loaded me up in the car, and off we went! It is crazy to think that this happened only a few short months ago...in July 2022 to be exact.

I am sure I look familiar to you and that is because I was recently returned. Lets just chalk up that return to it not being a good fit. I am now back with my original foster mom though, and I am doing really well! I am really hopeful that my next family will be my forever. ♥

I am good with other dogs and love playing with them. I am being fostered around big and small dogs right now. With that said, I have accidentally stepped on the small dogs a few times so would probably do best in a home with only big dogs. I am good with cats but seem a little too curious about the really playful spry cats, so would do best in a home with no cats or really lazy and chill cats. I am not currently being fostered around any kids, but I do think I would prefer they be older. That way, we can play together and I not worry about accidentally knocking them over. I am on cautious when first meeting new people, but if they have treats I warm up very quickly.

I am the kind of boy that seems to never stop smiling when I get to go places with you! I do great on car rides and will hop right in. I walk well on the leash, but am also a BIG boy so will pull if there is something that I really want to check out. I have only been to the vet with my foster mom since she takes me to work with her, but have done pretty well. I do think I would like going places with my new family. I do get really excitable though when I see another dog so will need a strong owner and someone who can work with me on not getting so excited to say hi to them. Because I am a big guy and not all dogs are so keen to have me barreling towards them. I really enjoy being wherever my people are, so if my new family spent most of their time at home..that would be cool too. As long as we still went on walks and found ways to keep me stimulated.

I am on the calmer side and spend most of my day napping. I do think I tend to match the energy of my household though. If the other dogs want to play, I could probably play all day long with them. I love getting to go outside and explore, but am always eager to come back inside. I do like playing with toys, but usually only start playing with them after we played with them together for a bit. I am unsure if I am a water dog or not.

I have good house manners and am fully potty trained. I have never been kenneled, and usually have free roam of the house. I have not been a big chewer with my foster family. I do bark outside if I hear the other dogs doing it, but other than that seem to be pretty quiet inside of the house. At night, I love sleeping in the bedroom with my foster mom and sleep there all night long.

That is all I have to share about myself. I really hope that we are a match. The app to adopt me can be found at https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3

Please I am begging you though, only apply to adopt me if you can keep me forever. If you can't keep me through ALL of my life's changes, don't be the one that makes me have to be passed around a few months/years down the line. That just isn't fair to me.

I would NEVER give up on myself, so please don't give up on me. I want to be your forever...not your until dog.
