Meet Ike
Meet Ike, an approximately 9-year-old, male, white Labrador/husky (?) who became a Misfit when his elderly caregiver had to enter an assisted-care facility in July 2020.
Since becoming a misfit, he’s lost 20 lbs and went from limping only half a block to actively walking around the entire neighborhood and even galloping.
Ike is neutered, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped!
He is house trained and kennel trained. He has allergies which cause him to hack and sneeze and sometimes has snotty nose stringers.
He gets along with chickens, cats, and children. Does not like babies that can walk. He likes camping and is very obedient.
Ike gets a little yelpy when hugged suddenly from behind. I suspect that is due to failing hearing. He can hear, but I don’t think his hearing is what it once was.
Ike is good at communicating his need to go outside and barks only twice when he’s ready to come back in.
He is very good on the leash so that there really isn’t a need for one. He’s very patient and affectionate. Also very gentle and sweet.
