Meet Ida Mae!

Ida Mae is a very sweet, gentle 13-year-old English Bulldog in need of loving a new home for her golden years. Sadly, her current family can no longer provide the care she needs due to financial issues.

Background:

Ida Mae was with her first family for 10 years before they returned to the breeder after divorcing. For the last 3 years, she has lived with her current family, who describe her as a sweet, mellow girl. Despite the busy household with three energetic boys (ages 3, 5, and 6), Ida Mae has been patient and loving with them, always seeking their attention and joyfully following them around.

Ida Mae's Personality:

* Kind and gentle: She adores children and is patient with the rough and tumble of little ones.

* Loves affection: She's a true cuddle bug when the environment is calm.

* Playful at times: While she's mostly laid-back, Ida Mae enjoys trying to fetch tennis balls. Although she may lose track of them due to limited vision, she still has fun!

* Independent yet social: She's perfectly content to spend time lounging in the yard, sunbathing, or walking around the fence line.

Current living situation:

Ida Mae is crate-trained and sleeps indoors at night, though she spends most of her days in the backyard. Although content spending time outdoors, she loves attention and welcomes the opportunity to be in the middle of family life.

Ideal home:

Ida Mae deserves to be loved and pampered in her golden years. She loves being near her people, and although she is amazing patient and gentle with young children, she would do fine in a home with mature children, especially those who can be calm and give her space when needed.

Although good around other dogs, Ida Mae is mostly indifferent to them and would be happy as the only pet or with another mellow dog.
