Meet Hunter! A 5yo, 80-pound Labrador who cannot wait to find his forever home.
Hunter is a lovable and happy guy who is friendly as can be. When he has encountered other dogs while on walks, he has done well. With cats, he lets them be. And he enjoys hanging out with kids!
Hunter came to Pet Haven partially blind. He can still see shadows and functions well but does need guidance with stairs and doors. He also had unmanaged seizures prior but has since started a two pill a day regimen of Keppra (about $100 a month) to help prevent them.
Hunter absolutely loves to snuggle and go for walks. He also enjoys fetch! With his vision, it helps to bounce the ball against the ground because he is mainly going by sound and scent, but he would do this all day!
Hunter is the sweetest boy and will follow you from room to room to make sure you feel loved. He will take part in all your day-to-day activities with a tail wagging, happy-go-lucky attitude. And he loves being active!
He would even be cool being in an apartment, as he is not a big barker, as long as you help him with stairs, and he gets daily walks and playtime. When the activities are done for the day, he is the most amazing snuggle partner!
Hunter is working on crate-training but is totally fine free roaming the house while you are out. He is looking for a loving and patient home who will help him enjoy life, take care of him, and let him live up an active lifestyle!
His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, & Bordetella), HW and flea/tick preventative, and microchip implant and registration.
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best guess.
Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 75-mile radius of the Minneapolis, MN city center.
